Abstract

During the author’s recent studies of Hieracium s. str. (Asteraceae) in North Macedonia, three species are recorded for the first time in the county flora: Hieracium camkorijense (MaleÅ¡evo Mountains and Osogovo Mt.), H. paniculatissimum (PlaÄkovica Mt.) and H. pellense (Nidze Mt.). The first one is SE European & SW Asian species while the two others are rare Balkan endemics. The recorded populations of H. camkorijense belong to the Balkan endemic subsp. boreograecum. The species status of H. paniculatissimum, originally described as subspecies of H. sparsiflorum (= H. sparsum), is newly proposed. Illustrations and map of general distribution are presented for each of the reported taxa.
